About Sigma STEM for Girls

Sigma STEM for Girls is an educational STEM website that provides free online resources and services to students.
The website was created by Emily Ren in May 2020, the month she graduated from middle school in Southern California. It was also the time period when the COVID-19 pandemic forced all schools in the US to switch to distance learning.
As a USABO semifinalist, a 6-year Science Olympiad participant, and a student officer of STEM student clubs inside and outside of school, Emily has been organizing a variety of online and in-person STEM workshops and activities in local communities. Among them are the monthly Fun Bio & Chem Workshop Series since July 2020 and the weekly Pathway to USABO Workshop Series since May 2022.
The videos of those workshops and activities have been shared on this website for free, so that more students from different parts of the world can watch these educational videos, enjoying, learning, fueling their passion, and empowering themselves with STEM skills.
As of August 4, 2022, about 25 educational videos, with the total video duration of approximately 19 hours, were uploaded to the website.
